SI football preview has six covers, Giants not featured

Winning the Super Bowl usually means you’re pretty good and gives you some well deserved recognition, right? Think again.

Sports Illustrated is issuing six regional covers for their annual NFL Preview magazine. Each cover will feature a different team with the words “Bring It” on it.

The teams and players with covers are the Eagles (Donovan McNabb), Patriots (Tom Brady), Cowboys (Tony Romo), Vikings (Adrian Peterson), Jaguars (Maurice Jones-Drew), and Chargers (LaDanian Tomlinson).

I don’t understand how you can leave out the Super Bowl champs here, but whatever…

Have fun being jinxed!

Unfortunately for Giants fans, you live in the ever-expanding “Patriots Country” and while I, too, believe that since the Giants are the world champs (cough, cough, sorry, I’m a Chargers fan and have a problem with Eli Manning), the Patsies, er Cheatriots, er Patriots seem to have taken over everything.

Donovan McNabb? Come on, Mr. Injury? They surely could have replaced him with a NY Football Giant.

Luckily for me, even living in Arizona, I was able to get my cover with LT (as opposed to Larry Fitzgerald, perhaps), but I do understand your irritation with SI.
