Cornerback DeAngelo Hall was traded from the Falcons to the Oakland Raiders for a second-round draft pick. The pick is third in the second round and 34th
overall.
The trade is still pending and will be finalized once Hall reaches a contract with the Raiders.
Reaching a deal with Hall could be tough for the Raiders. They’ve spent a lot of money so for this offseason, plus they still have the draft in April. The two sides are close to reaching a deal that would pay Hall a salary just a little lower than what the Eagles gave Asante Samuel (six-year deal, $57 million). Good trade for the Raiders if Hall can keep quiet and just play.
My guess is that Jerry Reese didn’t want a player outspoken like Hall. The Giants were rumored to be offering their first round pick for Hall.
