David Carr and the Giants have reached a one year, $1 million deal. The contract includes incentives that can increase the value of the deal. Carr will compete with Jared Lorenzen and Anthony Wright for the backup role behind Eli Manning.
Carr struggled last season with the Panthers and was replaced by Vinny Testaverde.
I don’t really see this as a major deal. Eli has been healthy. He’s a warrior and has been able to play through pain before. I doubt Carr sees much action this season outside of preseason.
