According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, a trade involving DeAngelo Hall and the Giants (or any other team) will be hard to pull off. Florio argues that Hall’s contract will make it hard to trade him, as rumors say he’s looking for a contract worth $10 million a year, according to Florio.
I doubt Hall could possibly get 10 million a year. He’s made it clear he wants out, so he’s going to have to budge a little on that salary to play for a winner. Hall’s recent comments should also give GMs around the league some leverage in trade discussions.
“I don’t want to stay there,” said Hall. “I would go anywhere who wants me. That’s the thing. It’s hard to play for or be part of an organization that doesn’t want you. I just want to go somewhere where I’m wanted.”
I don’t think we’ll be seeing DeAngelo Hall in a Falcons uniform next season…
